Hi, I’m Rachel!
I started out studying Visual Communications, so design has always been part of how I think about the web – but what actually pulled me into development was the problem-solving. I like the moment where a design has to become something that actually works: figuring out how data moves through a system, why a request is failing, or how to structure something so it holds up once real content and real users hit it.
That combination – thinking visually, and enjoying the technical grind underneath – shapes how I build. The projects on this site reflect both sides: EnviroLink is a full-stack IoT dashboard built around real hardware and real debugging problems (SSL errors, concurrency issues, time zone bugs), while Whether Weather leans more into front-end structure and reusable components.
I’m currently completing my HDip and looking for my first junior developer role, ideally somewhere I can keep building both the technical and design sides of the work. I’m based in or around Waterford.
